Vicky Pattison first appeared on Geordie Shore when the show premiered on MTV in May 2011 . She was part of the original cast and remained with the series for nine seasons, becoming one of its most recognisable faces. Her time on the show was not without controversy, and she has spoken openly about some of the decisions she made during those early years. Her victory on I’m A Celebrity in 2015 marked a turning point in how the public perceived her. She beat Union J’s George Shelley into second place and Towie’s Ferne McCann into third, winning over viewers with a combination of humour and resilience during the bushtucker trials . After being crowned, she told the Radio 1 Breakfast Show that she was “buzzing like an old fridge” and described the experience as “phenomenal” . That win helped reposition her from reality star to mainstream television personality.
Since then, Vicky Pattison has built a diverse career across multiple platforms. She has presented programmes for MTV, ITV, Channel 5, Channel 4, and TLC, and currently hosts a Saturday afternoon show on Heart Radio . She also hosts two podcasts: Get A Grip with Angela Scanlon and the BBC Sounds investigative series Love Bombed . The latter has seen her return to her North East roots to document cases of romance fraud, working alongside BBC Investigations North East and Cumbria .
Her documentary work has tackled subjects that go well beyond entertainment. As an author, she has published multiple Sunday Times best-selling memoirs and novels. Her autobiography Nothing But the Truth reached number one and remained in the top ten for seven weeks . She has also written fiction, including All That Glitters and A Christmas Kiss . Her literary output complements her television work and has helped sustain her public profile between screen projects.
In 2025, Vicky Pattison was announced as the eleventh celebrity contestant for Strictly Come Dancing . She was partnered with professional dancer Kai Widdrington and described herself as “absolutely buzzing” but also “terrified” about the challenge . She was eliminated in November 2025, shortly after her 38th birthday, and paid tribute to Kai on social media, calling him “the absolute BEST partner a girl could ask for” .
Beyond her entertainment career, she has become a vocal campaigner on issues including women’s health, emotional wellbeing, and romance fraud. In 2026, she spoke to the BBC about her work on Love Bombed, saying that victims of romance fraud often carry a “huge stigma” and “a feeling of shame” that needs to be reframed . She has praised the women who came forward for “turning their pain into purpose” and has used her platform to challenge the narrative that victims are to blame .
Vicky Pattison’s career demonstrates how a reality television start can evolve into long-term work across broadcasting, publishing, and advocacy. At 38, she remains a consistent presence on British screens and airwaves, with projects that range from light entertainment to hard-hitting investigative journalism.
